Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken Bites marinated in buttermilk, lightly seasoned and coated with breadcrumbs for a great appetizer to add in that game day party food lineup!

You will find the recipe and method on making those crispy Airy Fryer Chicken Bites but I am also breaking down the ultimate football party spread with amazing snack ideas, chips, dips, side dishes and main course items! A party isn’t a party without some great food.

The Game Day Menu

  • Double Cheddar Mac ‘N’ Cheese: Elbow macaroni made with RAGÚ® Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce.
  • Buttermilk Chicken Bites with Dipping Sauces: Chicken marinated in buttermilk and cooked in the Midea Air Fryer for a crispy item to dip into Red Duck Smoked Applewood Molasses BBQ Sauce, Smoky Ketchup and/or RAGÚ® Old World Style Traditional Sauce.
  • Sandwiches: A variety of Big Az® Sandwiches.
  • Corn Chips: Garden of Eatin’® Organic Corn Chips in three must try flavors with Corn Chips with Sea Salt, Corn Chips BBQ Black Bean and Blue Corn Chips with Sea Salt.
  • Italian Meats and Cheese: Formaggio Italian Cheeses offer Fresh Marinated Mozzarella Salad Cups and Artisan Wraps that are packaged ready to serve to make appetizers a breeze.
  • Meatballs: Meatballs and RAGÚ® Old World Style Traditional Sauce in the crockpot.

RAGÚ® Old World Style Traditional Sauce

The crockpot is always put to work for parties. Toss some frozen meatballs into the slow cooker along with a jar of RAGÚ® Old World Style Traditional Sauce. Let the meatballs cook on high for 4 hours to help you create a winning appetizer for game time. RAGÚ sauce is a classic, smooth and flavorful spaghetti sauce loaded with 2 servings of vegetables per half cup of sauce.

RAGÚ sauces are for more than just spaghetti night! Visit ragu.com for recipe ideas like the Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches for watching the big football game or the winter games.

RAGÚ® Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce

Cheddar, Parmesan and Romano cheeses combine in RAGÚ® Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce to create the best macaroni and cheese for game time. Just add pasta or create your own cheesy recipe like this Southwest Mac & Cheese.

What creative way will you use RAGÚ® Double Cheddar Cheese Sauce for your entertaining?

Visit RAGÚ for recipe inspiration!

Garden of Eatin’®

Every party calls for some quality chips! My new favorite organic corn chips are from Garden of Eatin’®.  This better for you snack is made with NON-GMO ingredients. Everyone in my family loved the BBQ Black Bean flavor corn chips that pack a taco flavor punch!

Red Duck Foods

Red Duck Foods are made in my hometown of Portland, Oregon and offer a variety of Organic condiments like Smoky Ketchup and Smoked Applewood Molasses BBQ sauce to pair with our Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken Bites. I am dying to toss some chicken wings in a Red Duck sauce very soon. Yummmm.

  • Red Duck Smoky Ketchup is lower in sugar and sodium than some other brands and is a great ingredient for cooking all types of dishes like chili or soup.
  • Red Duck Applewood Molasses BBQ made without artificial coloring, preservatives or stabilizers is a delicious BBQ sauce made for more than just those chicken wings I am craving- try with a BBQ chicken pizza or in a morning scramble.

Formaggio Italian Cheeses

Cheese platters are always the perfect appetizer for entertaining! No matter the event, it always works. Sam’s Club and Cosco carry award winning Formaggio Italian Cheeses that are tasty and make hosting easier. All you need to do is transfer the cheeses to a plate with toothpicks inserted for each amazing bite and let rest at room temperature before serving.

  • Artisan Wraps- Savory Italian style meats wrapped around fresh mozzarella. These are always a party favorite!
  • Fresh Marinated Salad Cups- Mozzarella marinated in herbs and spices that I paired with cherry tomatoes on a toothpick as part of my simple cheese platter for great finger foods.

Big Az® Sandwiches

I am excited to share a new product find for me sold in convenient stores all over the nation! Big Az® Sandwiches have a whole line of delicious sandwiches from a jalapeno cheeseburger to the Big Az® Sriracha Chicken Sandwich made with grilled chicken, a tangy-sweet hot sauce and cheese. I recommend buying a variety for your guests to pick from and let them heat up the sandwich whenever they are getting hangry during game time.

The Big Az® Country Chicken Sandwich was my favorite from the line with the soft sesame seed bun, creamy white cheese and crispy chicken. I gave it a dunk in the Red Duck sauces for some extra yum!

Air Fryer Buttermilk Chicken Bites

Midea Air Fryer

I have been getting a lot of new kitchen toys lately, including this Midea Air Fryer! I have wanted an air fryer for a long time- you can cook potato wedges, fries, chicken wings, our Buttermilk Chicken Bites and so much more in a short amount of time without the extra fat of deep frying (80% less!) but still get that crispiness. You can also bake, roast and even grill.  IT. IS. AMAZING.

How does the Midea Airy Fryer work?

The Midea MFTN3501 Air Fryer has 1500 watts of circulated heat to cook your favorite party foods with just a pinch of oil while allowing excess fats to fall off. You will notice a slight difference in appearance and taste over deep frying because the foods aren’t soaked in oil. When cooking our Buttermilk Chicken Bites, the chicken was still nice and juicy with that great crispy outside that we all love in fried foods.

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne

  4. Remove the chicken from fridge and dip into each bowl staring with flour. Cover each chicken bite completely and then dip into eggs. After you have dipped in the eggs, dip into the panko bowl #3 and cover the chicken completely. Repeat with all the chicken bites. (recommend gloves for this step) .
  5. Spray the Midea Air Fryer basket lightly with oil and add the chicken to the bottom lining them so nothing is overlapping. You may need to do more than one batch.
