BBQ Chicken Panini Sandwiches

March 2, 2021 by Amber Leave a Comment

BBQ Chicken Panini Sandwiches are made with packaged seasoned pulled chicken with barbecue sauce, Havarti cheese slices and pickles on sourdough bread cooked in a panini press with a little butter.

Great meal to toss together on busy nights!

I am all about simplicity here- the word simply is literally in my tagline and in my site URL. Dinner does not need to take forever to prepare and cook, it doesn’t need to require 30 ingredients. You can keep food simple, quick and still crazy delicious. These paninis are proof.

BBQ Chicken Panini Sandwiches

BBQ Chicken Panini Sandwiches have a sweet, tangy, tender chicken filling with a little texture from added pickles with a smooth Havarti cheese all melty inside. The outside sourdough bread gets a little crunchy and is the perfect base to support the wet barbecue sauce and piled on ingredients. Mouthwatering and ready in minutes!

What’s A Panini?

A panini is a sandwich that has been toasted. Typically made with a small loaf of Italian bread, cheese and meat. Toasting the bread is what makes the panini so special and adding the right combination of ingredients gives it that pizazz. We don’t want any boring sandwiches around here.

Tip

If you do not own a panini press, you can still make these sandwiches in more of a grilled cheese form on the stovetop! Follow the instructions down to the panini press step and add the sandwich onto a hot non-stick pan on the stovetop until the bread has browned, then flip and brown the other side. Since this sandwich is piled high, could be a little messy but will be one tasty mess.

Aldi

My obsession with Aldi is real! This is yet another Aldi ingredient recipe. Quick, easy, affordable… oh of course, tasty, Exactly what I want to feed my family. However, if you do not have an Aldi nearby, all these ingredients are easily found at any grocer near you.
