Simple Cake Cups

  1. Pre heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a medium bowl, add 3 eggs, 1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature and 1 cup milk. Use a hand mixer to thoroughly mix.
  3. Add in cake mix and continue to blend.
  4. Blend in the desired amount of food coloring.
  5. Spray a 14.5 x 11 x 2 pan and pour cake mix evenly onto the pan.
  6. Bake 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool.
  8. Cutout the cake using a cookie cutter or the top of a glass. Remember to make sure your cookie cutter will fit into the cups being used.
  9. Remove any brown spots using a knife.
  10. Place a layer of cake into each cup.
  11. Remove your frosting bag from box and the plastic tip.
  12. Frost a layer and place another layer of cake. Repeat for 3 layers.
  13. Decorate with an edible butterfly or any fun garnish you find!
