Christmas Tree Brownies

December 3, 2019 by Amber 8 Comments

Christmas Tree Brownies are made with a quick box brownie mix, store bought icings and some fun, festive sprinkles for a dessert that is both fun to make and to eat!

This is the time of year to really focus on family. Baking is a way I have found to be able to both spend time with my kids, teach them something new and to create something for other family and friends to enjoy as well. I made sure that these Christmas Tree Brownies were made very easily made so anyone (even kids) can get in the kitchen and start baking. Each Christmas Tree is decorated using store bought icing and lots of sprinkles for some color and extra fun.

Christmas Tree Brownies

Christmas Tree Brownies have that fudge-like taste and texture that make brownies so delicious. The frosting and sprinkles can be done however you please. Keep it minimal or go all out to add that Christmas spirit to this dessert and some extra flavor.

Process

The baking process is so easy for these little treats. It uses a box mix for the brownies. Mix the brownie batter and pour into a 9 inch spring form pan. I like to place parchment paper on the bottom of the pan to make removal easier after baking.

Once the brownies have fully cooked, remove from oven. Let cool completely, cut into 8 portions, place a popsicle stick in each and decorate!

Tips & Tricks

Brownies

I love a gooey brownie but for this recipe, make sure to cook the brownies a bit longer than you may typically. Since the brownies will be on a stick, you want them to keep shape and be easy to eat so that delicious gooey you might usually make could fall apart. All you need to do is cook them a few minutes longer (towards the higher end of the recommended box time) and it will be perfect. Let the brownies cool completely before decorating.

Minty

Try adding some peppermint extract to your brownie batter for a minty, festive flavor!
