Corn Tortilla Strips are an easy to make topping for soups, salads and more using only 3 ingredients : corn tortillas, olive oil and salt!
One of my favorite toppings for a warm bowl of Turkey Chili or a big refreshing salad are Tortilla Strips. They add that nice salty crunch to a dish and these Tortilla Strips are incredibly easy to toss together. Typically, I will just use up some leftover tortillas from taco night so this recipe can also help reduce waste.

Can I Use Flour Tortillas?
Yes. Flour tortillas may be used instead of corn tortillas. I do find the corn tortillas just have that extra crunch after baking. I also like to add a smidge more oil when baking the flour tortillas but cook time is the same.

Ingredients
- 3 teaspoons olive oil
- 8 corn tortillas
- sea salt
Instructions
- Cut tortillas into thin strips.
- Toss tortilla strips with olive oil.
- Spread out on a baking sheet.
- Salt generously.
- Bake for 15-17 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Flip halfway through baking.
- Let cool.
- Store in an airtight container or bag.
