Cranberry Mimosas are a holiday inspired brunch cocktail that are both simple and delicious made with cranberry juice, champagne and a beautiful rosemary-cranberry garnish.
To bring this crazy year to a close, I plan on sharing a few alcoholic beverages (we could all use a few) starting with these Cranberry Mimosas. I love this drink. It is really simple, looks festive and can be drank for a holiday brunch gathering, at dinner or to toast on New Years. And I don’t know about all of you but I have never been more excited to begin a new year than I am now.

Cranberry Mimosas
Cranberry Mimosas is a nice mix of sour from the cranberry juice with notes of fruitiness from the champagne. Rosemary pulls you in with the evergreen aroma and flavor that is quite lovely.
Garnish
With a lot of recipes, the garnish is honestly just something that looks nice. For this particular recipe however, the garnish is a must. Not just to make the drink look pretty but the rosemary is so aromatic that you can taste it adding a little something-something to a pretty basic drink.
To create a garnish like mine, you need three items: cranberries, fresh sprigs of rosemary and toothpicks. Align a rosemary sprig with a toothpick and then pierce a cranberry to feed it up the toothpick to cover and securely hold the rosemary in place. Add another cranberry to the toothpick and you are done. Set the garnish on top of the glass as I did today or drop it into the champagne flute.
Champagne
When I say champagne in this recipe, I really mean any kind of sparkling wine you enjoy. Champagne describes sparkling wines from a particular region but it really doesn’t matter where your sparkling wine if from. You just want something bubbly and dry. The term “Brut” is what I recommend looking for on your sparkling wine label, meaning dry.
