Easter Dessert Board

March 29, 2021 by Amber Leave a Comment

This Easter Dessert Board is simple to create with some of everyone’s Easter favorites like chocolate bunnies, trail mix, butter cookies, circus animal cookies, Peeps, lemon sandwich cookies, pretzel rods, robin eggs, marshmallows and peanut butter cup eggs along with some fresh strawberries and blackberries.

Since making that Movie Night Snack Board, I have been a little obsessed with delicious snackable boards for all different occasions. They are just so easy to put together and add tons of color and whimsy to a food table for a gathering. Plus, you don’t even have to spend hours in the kitchen. Just buy your favorite store bought goodies and arrange them on a board to look beautiful. Of course, if you have an amazing cookie recipe your guests will demand, you could add those in too.

Easter Dessert Board

Easter Dessert Board is loaded with delicious sweet bites for an effortless dessert. There are tangy lemon cookies, milk chocolate, salty peanuts, crunchy pretzels, peanut butter and chocolate, soft marshmallows and fresh fruits.

Start with a large board, tray or baking sheet. I found this pink one at Marshall’s last week and it is perfect for Easter with lovely color and flecks of dark grey. Then, place a few small bowls or ramekins around the board to fill with smaller snackable items like the trail mix, cookies and peanut butter eggs. Then create a couple little “nests” using the edible straw to hold robin egg candies.

Next, fill in the board (or baking sheet in this case) a bit more. Add in some of the larger items like chocolate bunnies, Peeps, pretzel rods, fruit and more cookies. You may have to scooch over some of the bowls already placed to make room for items as you go.

To finish the board, fill in the open gaps with smaller items like the marshmallows. Also, fill those fun edible nests with the robin eggs and you are finished. A ready to serve dessert board that is festive, fun and provides a little something for all your guests.

Ingredients

  • milk chocolate bunnies
  • edible grass, green apple
  • Reese’s peanut butter gold eggs

  • trail mix, spring edition from Target*
  • Mother’s circus animal cookies, spring edition
  • Jet-Puffed bunny marshmallows
  • Whoppers robin eggs
  • fresh strawberries
  • fresh blackberries

Instructions

  1. Start with a large board, tray or baking sheet.
  2. Place a few small bowls or ramekins around the board to fill with smaller snackable items like the trail mix, cookies and peanut butter eggs.
  3. Create a couple little “nests” using the edible straw to hold robin egg candies.
  4. Next, fill in the board (or baking sheet in this case) a bit more. Add in some of the larger items like chocolate bunnies, Peeps, pretzel rods, fruit and more cookies.

Notes

  • Make your own carrot patch pretzel rods. You will need pretzels rods and orange candy melts. Melt candy melts according to instructions and pour into a tall skinny glass. Dip each pretzel in and then place onto parchment paper to set up.
