  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Use a hand or stand mixer to make 1 cup butter softened and creamy.
  3. Add in 3/4 cup brown sugar, 3/4 cup granulated sugar, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 cup dark cocoa, 2 1/4 cup flour, 2 eggs and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Thoroughly mix.
  4. Add in the packet of instant pudding, mix. If you want super dark cookies, you can add a few drops of black food dye now.
  5. Stir in the cup of chocolate chips and most of the sprinkles. Leave some sprinkles for garnish.
  6. I use an ice cream scooper for each cookies to place onto a cookie sheet. Press down each cookie slightly to make the tops pretty even. Place a few sprinkles on each cookie.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  8. Let cool.
  9. Now, you can serve as is or cut into smaller cookies with frosting.
  10. To make the mini cookies, use a 1 inch cookie cutter to cut 3 minis from one regular size cookie.
  11. Throw away/snack on the scraps.
  12. Time for frosting! Mix .25 cups softened butter with .25 cups shortening. Use a hand or stand mixer to mix until creamy. Slowly add in the 2 cups of confectioners sugar, desired amount of orange food coloring and 1 tablespoon milk. If the frosting is too thick, add in a pinch more milk and mix thoroughly.
  13. Place frosting into a pastry bag with a medium size tip of choice and frost a dollop onto each mini cookie.
  14. Add more sprinkles over top and enjoy!
