Microwavable S’mores

March 26, 2020 by Amber 11 Comments

Microwavable S’mores are made with large marshmallows and peanut butter cups warmed up between two cinnamon graham crackers. Forget the campfire, you can make these inside your home in the microwave during any weather!

I apologize. I have not been putting out any recipes this past couple weeks. There was a death in the family and then we came home to the “end of the world” with this virus going around which means I am now a completely clueless homeschooling mom and the grocery stores have been raided so I am feeling a bit like I am lost  in the twilight zone. However, I am ready for some normalcy so it is time to start getting a little bit creative with meals and get back to writing recipes for all of you.

Microwavable S’mores are a fun treat to make during quarantine (or regular life). You just pop them in the microwave for 15 seconds and whammo, it almost feels like a real spring break with this campfire favorite (minus the campfire).

Microwavable S’mores

Microwavable S’mores start with a delicious peanut butter cup. My neighbors actually introduced me to the peanut butter cup s’more some time ago and there was NO turning back for me. Peanut butter is everything! The peanut butter adds a saltiness along with the melty chocolate that pairs just right with a gooey marshmallow and crunchy graham crackers.

Can I Use Regular Chocolate?

You can absolutely make a classic s’mores with Hershey milk chocolate in swap of the peanut butter cup. OR try a little peanut butter spread with a chunk of milk chocolate on top with a marshmallow and go all out!

Ingredients

  • large marshmallow
  • graham cracker broke in half (we used cinnamon today but regular works)
  • peanut butter cup

Instructions

  1. Stack the peanut butter cup followed by a marshmallow onto half the graham cracker.
  2. Cook in microwave for 15 seconds.
  3. Remove and place the other half of the graham cracker on top to make a sandwich.
