Spicy Nut and Pretzel Mix

Sure, Fall is for holidays and pumpkin spice and cozy sweaters but it is also time for some FOOTBALL! Sundays are all about turning the games on, snacking and having a beer with a few friends. Dollar General is favorite spot to pick up last minute goodies, drinks and party favors before kick-off for the great prices and convenience.

Not only can you find cold beer at Dollar General, you can also grab wine at Dollar General to make sure all your friends are happy.

Beverages are taken care so time for some snacks and party necessities! Dollar General has all kinds of chips, dips and everything needed to make Spicy Nut and Pretzel Mix. Make sure to grab napkins, cups, plates and whatever fun decor you stumble upon to make any football gathering that much more convenient.

Spicy Nut and Pretzel Mix

Spicy Nut and Pretzel Mix may be the perfect snack to pair with beer. The flavor is really subtle but that spice creeps up on you – cue the iced cold beer now. Start with a mixture of nuts. Any nuts will do and bake in the oven for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes, add a bag of pretzels on top with melted butter and seasonings. Mix together and bake another 15 minutes. Cool and eat!

You have control over the amount of spice and seasoning is in this Spicy Nut and Pretzel Mix. Like it extra spicy? Add more cayenne. Want more seasoning? Get crazy with it and double the butter and add another Ranch seasoning packet!

Description

Spicy Nut and Pretzel Mix is made with assorted nuts, pretzel twists, cayenne and other seasonings for the perfect quick and simple game day snack that pairs perfectly with an ice cold beer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces mixed nuts
  • 16 ounces pretzel twists
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cayenne ( use 2 for extra kick)
  • 1 ounch packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Place nut mixture onto large baking pan.
  3. Bake 15 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  4. Remove pan from oven and add pretzels.
  5. Melt butter. Pour over pretzels.
  6. Mix seasonings together. Pour the seasoning mixture over pretzels and mix all ingredients together.
  7. Bake in oven another 15-20 minutes. Stirring halfway.
  8. Let cool and serve.

Notes

Let cool and store in large sealable bag or container.

    Mmmm, this sounds delicious! This would be the perfect thing to have out at family gatherings over the holidays. I’d have to make two batches though, a spicy one for my husband and a milder one for me 🙂
